What a notary does for you in Mexico
In Mexico, a notary is a senior lawyer named by the state. They check the title and any debts on the home, work out the taxes, write the deed and register it. The buyer usually picks the notary.
Many notaries in Mexico work in Spanish only. Ask if they work with a certified translator.
